sharing some love

I've been super busy and haven't been able to peruse my usual Photography Blogs for Inspiration. I had some extra time this morning and thought it would be fun to share them with you in case your mojo needs a facelift.

The Pioneer Woman- OMG! I always joke with Zack about people on TV being my friend (or NOT being my friend). Ree Drummand would DEFINITELY be my friend! Ok, who am I kidding? All the people in this post would be my friend!!!
She knocks down all the technical mumbo jumbo photography talk to real person's speak so you can get it! Man! She inspires me to get out there and SHOOT! Not to mention, she has created her own set of PS Actions and gives them away for free!!! Love her Slight Lighten and Seventies Actions.
I haven't read them yet, but she also Blogs about Food, Home and Garden and Homeschooling. Wow! Wow!

Do I have to even mention Karen Russel?? Photo teacher goddess! Love her realness about being a mom and photographer. Her Photography class was FULL of info and she was so generous with her time and knowledge.

Design Aglow-What an awesome place for Photographers to gain inspiration and GREAT ideas! I have purchased several of their templates, Inspiration Guides and their Wall Galleries help me sell more portraits. Gotta love that! I am looking forward to buying all their articles, nestling in on the couch and pouring over them. One day soon!

Lisa Russo- When I grow up, I want to be just like her! Home Studio, photographing mostly newborns in the cutest baskets, buggys and props!

Jasmine Star- Ok, not too much is needed to say- SHE IS COOL! and she would def be my frind!! If I was a wedding photography, I would LOVE to take a workshop by her. Maybe I will take one someday anyway just to be around her uber COOLNESS!! I should also mention that she is SO generous with her knowledge. I love, love, love her blog!

Tara Whitney- It doesn't get any REALer (is that even a word?) than Tara! We were so lucky enough to have her photography our family. I was a nervous first time Mommy to a colicky 3 mo old and she just came into our home and set the tone. She put us at ease and we just went with it. No pressure, just us, being real.

Carrie Sandavol- Another Fabulous newborn photographer and when I hit it big or win the lottery, I will for surely be going to her workshop. Man! I love her creative thinking. She will stuff a newborn into just about anything, anywhere! And it looks cute!

Alright, this is all for now. I have about 297 other Photo Blogs I stalk. We will save those for another post.
Now get out there (after you check out all these cool blogs) and SHOOT!!

testing...1...2...3

I bought a new backdrop stand. I was finding that at my newborn shoots I was having the Dad hold up my backdrop or setting up something really rickety. It was time to let the Daddy's off the hook. Katelyn and I tested it out yesterday and had fun!
Bought this one from B&H Photo.

Like her momma :)

And this one, I adore!
But I can't decide if I like it in color or B&W...what do you think?

That's it for now. There are a few more to edit, but got LOTS to do!

these two...

helped me out so much this weekend during my garage sale and always help out with Bean.
As we were driving over to my aunt's (where I had the garage sale) to drop off my stuff, Katelyn must have recognized where we were going because she started saying "Ash-eee" over and over! Later that night we went back to my aunt's neighborhood to hang signs and she was saying it again. Too cute!
Anyway, Katelyn just adores Ashley and Tyler and the kids love her too! Tyler plays so well with her, letting her do whatever she wants. She is also a copy cat..if Tyler does something, so does Bean. She calls him Ty- i love it!
When the kiddos are around it gives me a nice break. Thanks guys!

I can't wait for our trip to Disneyland with these two!

Bean at 23 months!

I have posted these monthly updates for 23 months now! And mostly on time :)
I can't believe I will only have to post one more! My goodness! Where has the time gone??

Anyway, I know I just posted her 22 mo. update (I was a couple weeks late) but I swear she has changed so much since then!
Every night after Katelyn goes to bed, Zack and I always say something like,

"Man, wasn't she so good today." Or
"Isn't she so cute when she dances?" Or
"I can't believe she said that?"

So at 23 months:
Still wearing:
size 4 diaper
size 4/5 shoe, although I think she needs the bigger size, but those are too big for her
size 12-18 months

still LOVES
The Backyardigans
dancing
singing
bubbles
playing outside
mashed potatoes
beans
water, bath, swimming
babies
blankets
her binky
her cell phone
puzzles
books

New LOVES
coloring
My Friends Tigger and Pooh
yogurt
watermelon
basketball
stickers

New Words:
Ashely, more like Ash-EEEEE
Ty for Tyler
Bless You
Love you
Thank You- oh it just melts my heart when she says these!
Purple
Pablo
and she will try to say just about anything you say. I am trying to warn Zack to clean up his potty mouth, which has gotten quite better :) although he did have her saying a$$hole like in Meet The Parents. Nice one, Dad!
choo choo

Uses the potty at daycare, but will have nothing to do with it at home

has a lot of hair! always in her face and mouth because she doesn't like having it done.

says hi to everyone, including people out the car window

tattle tells on you, even when you are just giving her a hug

likes to tickle your toes and still likes for you to smell her feet

And more beach photos. I will try to take some later today, but these will do for now:

i was this close to...

getting up last night at 3am when i couldn't fall back to sleep to write this blog post to get all these ideas out of my head so i could go back to sleep peacefully. funny thing is when i woke up to my alarm this morning it scared the begeezus out of me and i knocked over the phone. luckily i don't have to wake up by the alarm that often. i didn't know what the heck was going on.

anyway, here are all the random, crazy thoughts that were going through my head last night and then immediately again when i woke up

...house, packing, moving, garage sale, new houe

...Disneyland- what are we going to do with sophie?

...wanting to scrapbook, but having to pack it all away

...order a cake for bean's party or make one myself?

...what to put in the goodie bags?

...prayers for my friends and family in need

...do i have time to get a pedicure tomorrow?

...going through the kitchen cupboards and getting rid of tons!

...should we trade my car in for something less expensive? american made companies are having awesome deals right now. if i do, should i get the tires replaced which i have on order?

...how many trains is that now?

...does the newspaper delivery person really need to listen to his music that loud?

...my to-do list keeps growing...better get to it!

blah blah blah

We had a wonderful weekend and I am feeling exhausted from it.
I got to meet Baby Ross!! And I just fell in love with all 10# of him! I used to tease Jen when we were college roomies that my kids would be able to go visit Aunt Jen in Newport Beach in the summer but I would send my Nanny with them. But after seeing her with Baby Ross, I wouldn't hesitate sending my kids (w/o the Nanny) to visit her. She is a wonderful, caring mother! We are hoping we get to see them again at the end of Aug for Bean's birthday.
Stay tuned for lots of Ross pics. He was a natural model and we were able to shoot all day long!

On Sat we headed out to Disco Bay to spend the day poolside. Katelyn usually likes to hang in her lil waterfall pool, but this day she wanted to swim! Kickin' her legs, blowing bubbles and all that!

Sunday was a day to relax! I even took a nap when Bean went down. We went to Party City and picked up some Backyardigans party supplies! We visited with my stepdad and gradfather, who will celebrating his 95th birthday in Aug. How awesome is that?? And enjoyed some dinner at La Pinata.

All weekend we had several house showings..what a pain! Can we get an offer already? UGH!

Our Disneyland trip is BOOKED!!! You don't even know how excited I am! Now we just have to wait for the next month and half to fly by! Oh we are going to have such a good time! What an exciting way to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday and our 3rd wedding anniversary!

And believe it or not, I didn't take any photos (other than those of Baby Ross) this weekend. I was just enjoying the moment.

So how about some more beach photos...

water baby

Most mornings I can get in the shower and get ready before Bean wakes up. Some mornings, like on Friday, she wakes earlier and I have to shower with her looking on or sometimes I put her in the shower with me. As I was warming the water and getting my stuff laid out, Ms Katelyn decided to jump in the shower, pjs and all!! Of course, I had to run and get my camera!!

summertime fun!

It was super hot yesterday! I thought it would be fun to fill up Bean's pool and take a dip. Yes, I got in with her too, but you won't be seeing any photos of that :)
No bathing suit needed, just her Crocs and swim diaper. Yes, I had a swimsuit on :)
This was taken after she dumped water on her head...

Show me your teeth! This looks like a bad school portrait smile, huh? I can't wait for those :)

Bean | 22 months

OMG! I am so totally late with this! Oh well, better late than never, right?
I know I say this every month, but where have the past 22 months gone?? Time has been flying by. The other day all three of us sat down and watched all the video on our camcorder starting with the footage of Katelyn's birth til that day when I filmed Bean being silly. It was so awesome! I was so thankful we that had and Zack and I are going to try to bring it out more.

Anyway...at 22 months:

still in size 4 diapers
shoe size 4-5
clothes 12-18 mos

LOVES- The Backyardigans (A little crisis in the Lund Household when Daddy accidentally deleted all 40 episodes!), milk, snakcs (just like her momma!), water-anything, playing outside, playing hide n seek with Daddy, loves pattie cake and dancing, loves books, to give kisses, loves her binkies (ugh! this one is going to be hard to break!), loves her babies and covering them up with her washcloths,

is so darn cute when she sleeps on her tummy with her butt in the air and her lil arms tucked under her

is liking daycare more and is so proud of her *schoolwork* she gets to bring home at the end of the day

words: mama, dad, daddy, whereisit?, wheredidhego?, milk, water, agua, hi, bye, choo choo, moo, no, yah, yes, me, pablo, tyler, ashley, dog, cat, ball, lots of body parts and points to them, bubbles, hello,

makes us laugh and want to pull out our hair every day :)

I don't know what she is frowning for?? On the beach playing with water and her buckets was her favorite place to be.

BIrthday Celebration

We planned a surprise Pool Party but as we were driving over the Altamont, rain drops started falling...in July! Craziness. It was still pretty warm, like Hawaii (OH! How I would love to be in Hawaii!) Luckily, the rain stopped and after pizza all the kids, including the big-kid-birthday-boy jumped in the pool and the *kids* had a canon ball contest. Quite entertaining. One of Zack's back flips went terrible wrong and it was more like a back flop! and scared Katelyn. She shook it off and resumed her post at the pool stairs playing happily with her buckets.

Bean playing Bubbles with Grandma and Grandpa while we waited for the pizza. She loved her new Backyardigans Bubble Bucket!!

Katelyn's favorite spot: the stairs

Canonballs!!!

Bean and Grandpa oohing and aahing over Grandpa's rocks. He has collected these from all over- Hawaii, Cancun, Florida...and then tumbled for a month until they shine and sparkle.

The Birthday Boy and Girl!!

and on a side note... I am pretty surprised and proud of myself for having these photos up so quickly. Never mind all the other photos I have yet to edit :)
