House Projects

Our Master Bath is finally finished! Our glass shower door was installed on Friday thanks to our good friend, Andres. Our Master Bath has been torn up for over a year! WE were showering in Katelyn's room. When she started sleeping in there (after we got her our of our bed!) it became really disruptive with Zack having to shower earlier than she would wake up. It wasn't as big of deal when I was on Maternity Leave with her, but when I went back to work, we knew we had to do something. Zack finished our shower with slate and brass nickel hardware. He did it all himself! Who knew he was so handy!! We've been using it with a shower curtain with the intent of ordering a door. We got a few quotes but placed our order with Home Depot. They gave us a great deal on our granite vanity counter top and glass shower door. I guess it was too goo to be true because they totally dropped the ball! GGGRRRRR!! Luckily, our friend who works for a Glass Company came to our rescue. The process was quick and painless and now we have a complete Master Bath!!!
We are just waiting on Closet Doors.
Zack has been knocking out his House To Do List.
The Scrap Dungeon is all cleaned out.
Katelyn's Room is ready to rock and roll.
Just need to refresh paint and baseboards.
And then lots of cleaning.

I have a Hybrid (digital and paper scrapping) Scrapbook Layout in the latest Scrapbook Trends magazine!! This LO features Lil Miss Bella at her 1st Birthday. She will be turning 2 in June.


I've been busily packing up my Scrap Dungeon :( and purging like crazy. PMP is having a garage sale on Sunday April 19th so I am hoping to get rid of a lot of my stuff. When purging I ask myself:
How long have I had?
Have I used it in the past 6 months?
Do I really want to pack it, store it and move it? This one usually does the trick and it ends up in the Garage Sale pile.

Still have tons more to share: Apron Pics, another ST publication, House Projects, Baby K photos.....there just isn't enough time in the day!

The Easter Bunny is NOT my Friend!

I tried talking up the Easter Bunny. Katelyn was cool with waving to him...from afar. When it came time to actually sit on his big furry lap, Katelyn clung onto me for dear life. And like the good Mom I am, I pried her off me and sat her down with the BIG scary rabbit!

Doesn't she look so cute in her too big (I bought it for a really good deal at the end of last season. I bought a 24m- what was I thinking? She was a peanut then, and she is a peanut now) Easter dress?? said sarcastically! Good thing I took some photos beforehand :) (Will post later.)
Katelyn did give him a kiss goodbye :)
and then Mom, Katelyn and I enjoyed some Chinese Food- gotta love Newpark Mall!!

really random...

...so happy to be feeling mostly back to normal. my throat is still really sore.

...looking forward to having Friday off. I plan to take Bean to see the Easter Bunny. Maybe have our own lil photo shoot afterwards.

...Karen Russell, photo teacher extradanaire, made the switch! Yep, she is a Nikon girl now. Gets my brain going! Do I need a Nikon now? just kidding. sort of. We've been trying to pinch all our pennies to save up for a new house. Zack was peeved with me when I cancelled HBO and Starz. He didn't think I would really do it. Hey, it saves $26/mo. And we have a stack of DVDs we haven't even watched yet! NExt to go is our home line. Who needs one anyone with cell phones. KWIM?

...made a yummy dinner tonight along with Rice Krispie Treats made with pink strawberry marshmallows for Katelyn to take to daycare tomorrow.

...Keep your fingers crossed it doesn't rain this weekend. I have a photo session on Sat with a cute lil family with 2 boys. And then Easter Sunday- you know I am going to take butt load of photos that day LOL!!

...I still owe you pics of the apron I made and 2 recent LOs in Scrapbook Trends. I miss scrapbooking! I am completing these last assignments and then all my scrap schtuff will be packed up :( I guess there is always digi-scrapping.

...It is so cute how Katelyn cracks up at herself. She is also into jumping and saying "No." Still loves to give kisses and as I was almost in tears from not feeling well, I was thinking we need to teach her how to give hugs instead so she doesn't get sick. My brain was a little fuzzy from the meds. I think I took too many Aleve, Dayquil, Motrin and Sudafed!

...I don't know what the heck I did to my wrist, but it hurts like a son of a gun!

...This is all I got for now...from our day at Mom's. Not technically perfect, but emotionally perfect :)

Man! I hate being sick! I am such a busy person, a multi-tasker, and I hate being sick because there is so much to be done and I can't do any of it!!
Anyway...
I am finally done with Brandon's Senior Session!!



I had so much fun with these. I loved how I could play with color pop, vivid light and Old Skool edits, which wouldn't look too good with a newborn session!

I will be back with more...soon!!! AS soon as I crawl out from under my to do list!!!

I know my SIL Tanya has been waiting very patiently for these...I am far from done. Lots of editing to do on 300+ photos! But here are a few just to tease you :)

This is my all-grown-up nephew, Brandon. He is graduating from High School in May! Oh my goodness! Where has the time gone??
We hung out at an abandoned warehouse with some cool muscle cars. It was a super bright and windy day.




Can you tell I am having way too much fun with these photos??

p.s. I am so very excited for my shoot this evening with 6 kids!!!
