i met all 16 of the Terry Family right around Christmas...i have a ton more to edit. i loved how proud Mom was of her Boys and how the little ones looked up to their older cousins. i love how this Season brings families together :)

a scrappy share

got the scrappy bug again.
trying to finish my JYC 09 album and completed a few more days.
want to start and complete Bean's first year album (a kit i purchased from CK) a LONG time ago!
got another idea for an album I want to pre-make: Your First Week Home for Bean #2

so what do i do when i get the scrappy bug? i scrap and then surf the net for inspiration.

Holiday Card Display and Keepers

I love, love, love Holiday Cards- sending them, receiving them, looking back through them (especially the photo cards.)
I usually display our cards in a star shaped photo holder that sits by the front door. But daily I am picking up cards that have fell. We didn't have a mantle this year, so I hung our stockings and garland on the half wall and ledge that separates our kitchen and living room. And it turned out so cute (if I do say so myself!)



and then what to do after you take them all down???
check out this super fun and easy Holiday Keeper.
I used a Holiday Card we received as the front and back.
Punched holes in all the cards.
Attached them all together with a binder ring.
Added ribbon to tie them all together to keep them neat and Voila! a super cute Holiday Card Keeper!
Here are 07's, 08's and 09's keepers. All done super fast in under an hour!

can i get some of that energy??

i already posted some pics from the Great Chocolate Cupcake Runoff :) here. Needless to say, we were outside quite some time running, running, running!!
we also said hi to the neighbors.
showed them our bear and mama's baby (belly).
put the baby bear to sleep with our new oven mitt (thanks Brooke!)
waved to Santa Claus (an older man with a long white beard) driving by.
jumped.
looked for Santa Claus in my camera.
showed off our pretty shoes.
looked at our shadow.
counted to 5. 1-2-3-5-2. (working on this)
sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.






Phew! and then we came in and took a much needed nap!

The Naked Chef

Grandma Susi bought Katelyn a kitchen set for Christmas and she LOVES it!
Mom came over before we headed to Aunt Nancy's for our Christmas Eve festivities and presented her with it. It was a great incentive to get her ready- poor girl just woke up from her nap. At first she played hard to get with the set. Not wanting to play with it. Wanting Mommy to do it all. But after a minute she was all over it!! We couldn't get her to stop and we needed to get on the road to Nancy's. Luckily Tyler called to see where we were and we told Bean that Tyler was going to open all the gifts if we didn't get over there soon. That did the trick!


After we got home and opened our gifts, Bean went back to playing with her kitchen set...but this time she was the Naked Chef!!
